JAZZMI 2025 – Lorenzo Bellini Quartet

The Lorenzo Bellini Quartet is the result of the collaboration of four young musicians: LorenzoBellini, Luca De Toni, Matteo Padoin and Andrea Dionisi. Born within the walls of Berklee College Of Music, the group is now active in the Italian and European jazz scene. In 2023 the band won the 1st prize at the Music4TheNextGeneration Contest in Trento, performing “Source”, the composition that gave the name to Bellini’s latest tour and album, released by Gleam Records in May 2025. British saxophonist Alex Hitchcock talks about it asan “incredibly fresh sounding album, full of surprises, virtuosity and beauty – as a group theyshift between colours effortlessly, and the fluidity of the solos brings everything together”. Their sound is fully immersed in the contemporary jazz scene, “where the harmonic and rhythmic unpredictability meets the great personality of Lorenzo Bellini, highlighted by an unusual sense of melody and a brilliant vision of structures and composition” (GleamRecords).
